God gambled on Good Friday

I dreamed a strange dream last night. My stakes were high. I was at a hospital trying to visit someone who was very dear to me. I knew the person might not live. I wanted to see them before they died. In order to get past the visitor’s desk, I had to respond to a series of security questions about the person. I failed one question and was placed in another room and given more tests and cryptic quizzes. I became desperate. I could not get to the one I loved because my answers did not satisfy the hospital staff.

This dream made me think about the message of Good Friday. If there was ever a clear communication from God to His creation, the message was sent on Good Friday. When God sacrificed Jesus, His highest prize, God spoke to us.

He essentially said, “I love you. I know you can’t get to me because the path is messed up by your sin. Today I fixed that. So come to Me. The way is clear. “

God gambled it all on Good Friday. Clear communication. No tangents. No Quizzes. No test to pass.

The question is…. did He win your heart?

“For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 3:23 and 6:23
